 Outstanding Employees

A company is only as good as its employees.  We have cultivated a team of talented, motivated individuals.  We believe in fostering their growth and rewarding their hard work.  Our repeat appearances on Oregon Business Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” list can be attributed to:

§  Supportive, team-oriented work environment

§  Frequent and open communication

§  Recognition programs for every position and department

§  Outstanding benefits and bonus programs

§  Comprehensive training and education assistance program

§  Employee suggestion program

§  Promote-from-within policy; based solely on results

A strong set of core values guide all team members’ actions.  These core values include:

  • Teamwork & Communication: Our success as a company hinges on our ability to work well as a team. Our success also depends on our ability to communicate effectively between different departments, properties, and regions.
  • Find the Solution: The most successful Randall Group employees are those that demonstrate a positive “can do” attitude, finding creative solutions to any challenges that arise.
  • Continual Improvement: Innovation is crucial to our company’s success in an ever-changing industry. Employees are encouraged to actively participate in C.I. It! and to constantly ask, “how can we be more effective?”
  • Hands-on, Process-driven Management: Hands-on: managers can only be effective if they have first-hand knowledge of the employees and activities in their area of operations.  Process-driven: to ensure consistent and effective work, we develop every daily function into a process of clearly defined tasks and established control points.
  • Flat Out Get Stuff Done! Our employees are able to produce more work in less time than others in our industry by working efficiently and by demonstrating an excellent work ethic.
  • Celebrate Success: Taking the time to savor any success, no matter how small, and to recognize and reward those employees and teams that achieve their goals, creates a positive work environment.
  • Integrity & Honesty: Because of their integrity and honesty, employees are trusted with confidential information and are empowered to do what’s best for the property owners and our company.
  • Results Matter: Property, company, and individual goals are established, communicated, and continually reviewed throughout the year. Numerous award programs ensure that effective employees are recognized/rewarded for their achievements.
  • Dedication & Commitment: Going “above and beyond” is a constant with our employees because of their dedication to our company’s success and their commitment to achieving results.

Management In Training Program

Our company’s Management in Training (MIT) program was designed to introduce ambitious and talented people to the industry of property management and to prepare them for a career with our company.  Because we hire primarily from within, our end goal is to reward successful MITs with promotions to positions of middle and upper management.

Candidates must:
  •  Have a four-year degree (no specific major is preferred however, most   successful MITs have a degree with a focus in business, management, marketing or finance).
  • Possess leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to provide superior customer service.
  • Be an organized and enthusiastic team player with the ability to work both independently and with others.
  • Be willing to work flexible hours which will include weekends.
  • Be open to relocating as the opportunities present themselves in the Washington, Oregon or California regions.

The MIT will spend approximately three to nine months at a CTL apartment community working in the entry-level position of a Customer Service Representative (CSR). Primary job duties during this time period will include the following: leasing activities (working with prospective residents on the phone and in person), leasing paperwork, basic computer work, and customer service.

The MIT is expected to take the initiative and become familiar with all aspects of the property management industry. During this time, the MIT will receive in-depth hands-on training from an experienced Resident Manager.

At all times, promotion to higher levels of management will depend on the ability and initiative demonstrated by the MIT in his or her current assignment as well as on the availability of positions.

If you are interested in applying for an MIT position, please submit both your resume and a cover letter to mitprogram@ctlmanagement.com . If an MIT position is available and your skills/experience match our needs you will be contacted for an interview.
